Purpose
This model recognizes and classifies fashion-related and clothing concepts, hats, jewelry, handbags, etc. in images and video.
It can identify 192 concepts in the following 12 categories: Clothing, Accessory, Jewelry, Pattern, Texture/Fabric Type, Skirt/Dress Length, Neckline/Collar Type, Sleeve Length, Outerwear, Hats, Shoes, and Bags.
Limitations
The model has a harder time with the following image types:
- Images that are cropped closely to a singular area of a person’s clothing (i.e. shoulders and head or only a torso)
- Close-up images of a single garment (i.e. a close-up of a person’s shoes)
- Images of garments not being worn by people (i.e. on a hanger or on a table)
